5 Things You Need to Know Today: July 20

1. Marlborough is in store for another hot one today, though we probably won't have to worry about any rain. Expect a high of 91 degrees, says the National Weather Service.

2. On Monday, July 18, McDonald’s gave a couple of MetroWest residents the chance to win free McCafe Real Fruit Smoothies for a year, and Winnie Houde of Marlborough, and Jacqueline Clemmons of Framingham both walked away with the prize after finding and turning in (3 ft tall) Mango Pineapple Real Fruit Smoothie cups at the participating Marlborough McDonald’s, 100 Nickerson Road.

3. If you think it is has been hot this week, wait until tomorrow and Friday. Temperatures both days could reach the upper-90s and the city of Marlborough is prepared. The Department of Recreation will be extending their beach and pool hours today through Friday to help residents deal with the excessive heat. 

4. To help deal with the heat, there will be water fitness classes at the Wayside Swim and Racquet Club.
