1. Prepare for part two of this heat wave! The actual temperature is expected to reach 99 degrees, with a heat index of 103, says the National Weather Service.
2. Guests of the Burger King locations at and can help fight childhood cancers by giving $1 to The Jimmy Fund through the A Chance for Kids® program, starting July 25 through Sept. 5. With each contribution, restaurant guests will receive a promotion card guaranteed to be a winner with prizes ranging from all-inclusive resort vacations, airline tickets, theme park admissions and BURGER KING® food.
3. The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about a new email scam designed to steal your money. Be on the lookout for an email claiming to be from someone you know who is stuck in another country. They are asking you to give them a loan to pay for their hotel bills and airfare home and request that you respond via email. “This is yet another phishing scam,” said Paula Fleming, BBB Spokesperson located here in Marlborough, “all the scammers are doing is using a new ‘hook’ to lure you into wire transferring money to them.” This email scam will come from someone who you have corresponded with via email before, but their email address may be different.

4. Don't forget about the farmers' market at the Wayside Inn on Saturdays! The Marlborough EDC has a great calendar with plenty of details.
5. The locally well-known cover band Tigerlily will perform Top 40 songs at Saturday night beginning at 8 p.m.
