5 Things You Need To Know Today: March 6
Today is Super Tuesday and Marlborough residents will be getting out to vote in the Republican presidential primary, along with some other state races.
1. Today is Super Tuesday and that means it is time for Massachusetts residents to vote! Most of the races or primaries are for Republican candidates, but a seat on the State Democratic Committee will be decided today. Tell us in the comments who you are voting for and why. Also, the has posted a column with the polling stations for the different wards in Marlborough, in case you're not sure about yours.
2. Do you represent or own a Marlborough business? If so, look it up on Marlborough Patch and claim the listing. It's a great way to let everyone know what you have going on! 4. There will be an open house for the new chapel of the in French Hill from noon to 3 p.m. this Sunday at 469 Lincoln St., said a press release on the Community Advocate.
5. recently announced the availability of the Herbert “Buster” MacLaren Nursing Scholarship. The MacLaren Nursing Scholarship is awarded annually to high school seniors and to those post-high school who are planning to or are currently pursuing a degree in the nursing field. The scholarship is open to residents of Berlin, Bolton, Hudson, Marlborough, Northborough, Southborough, Stow and Westborough. Those who are interested in learning more about the scholarship may contact their school’s Guidance Department or the Education Department of Marlborough Hospital, 508-486-5871 for information concerning the criteria for application. Applications must be received by March 31.
