Last week’s has shed light on the need to have a more permanent and responsive presence when it comes to fulfilling the city’s Human Services needs, said a recent release from the Mayor's office. “It is a priority for our city to have an office people can turn to during times of crisis or emergency,” stated Mayor Arthur Vigeant. Beginning this week, the city of Marlborough will be advertising the position of “Human Resources Manager” as a full-time, benefit eligible position based on the salary ordinance adopted by the City Council on March 14, 2011.

On Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 9:50 a.m. to noon, students from our sixth and seventh grade class at the will be hosting an “I Love to Read Carnival” at SMOC’s Head Start/Nursery School located on the bottom floor of the White Building, 165 Forest St. They have collected over 1,200 children’s books and each child in the SMOC program (110 students) will receive 10 books to keep.
