5 Things You Need to Know Today: Oct. 31

1. If you are reading this you have probably had your electricity restored, or the last few ounces of life are being sucked from your respective electronic devices. In either case, you should know that the all schools in Marlborough have canceled Monday classes. Snow day!

2. National Grid is in the process of restoring power to the more than 30,000 residents who lost it sometime Saturday evening. If you've driven down Route 20 in the last 12 hours, you've seen a lot of lights come on (finally), but for those of you still without power, it is likely because you some heavily damaged power lines in the area. We will keep you updated on the progress as best we can throughout the process.  

3. While the weather can be a major distraction, please do not let it keep you from voting in tomorrow's local elections! Voters will endorse a new , city council members and school board members. Be a part of the democratic process and get out to vote! 

4. Happy Halloween, everyone! Besides it being this well known annual holiday, it is also Pumpkin Carving Day and Increase Your Psychic Powers Day. Enjoy.
