Marlborough – The Marlborough Historical Commission is seeking assistance from an individual or local vendor for the production of “Historic Home Markers” to be placed on historic homes around Marlborough. The Historic Home Markers can be seen on many homes across the Commonwealth. These markers have the original date the home was built and the original owner. Some markers have additional information such as the local historical society or organization that helped put them up.

The Historical Commission is looking to make 12” x 16” markers made of MDO waterproof signboard, finished with 3 coats of painter’s oil-based primer and enamel topcoat, with white background and black hand painted lettering. Holes are pre-drilled and screws provided. Space for up to 4 lines of copy is provided.

Any interested parties should contact Robert Fagone via email at rfagone@marlborough-ma.gov with a proposal or with any questions. If you would like any additional information you may also call the Mayor’s Office at (508) 460-3770.
