Saturday’s nor’easter left us with a lot of snow! We’d like to remind residents that homeowners are responsible for clearing the sidewalks in front of their homes.  If you are renting, please consider helping out if you’re able bodied.  If a few people do a good deed, who knows, it may become contagious… The City will continue to clear sidewalks in the downtown areas and in and around all of the schools.  Additionally, we ask residents who are able to help dig out fire hydrants, to please assist.  We have around 1,500 fire hydrants in the city and can’t possibly clear all of them after every storm but put a priority on hazardous areas. We’re grateful for any assistance.

We’re also looking for volunteer snow shovelers for our elderly neighbors who may need assistance.  If you can help out, please contact the Mayor’s Office at 508-460-3770.  Again, we appreciate any assistance and our seniors do too. Thank you!!
