Man Tied To Worcester Shooting Found In Leicester, Charged In Domestic Violence Case

His name is being withheld due to pending domestic violence charges.

WORCESTER, MA — A man was charged when he fled back to his Leicester home after police said he was involved in a shooting in Worcester.

The man was arraigned on Monday on multiple charges, including assault and battery on a family or household member and strangulation/suffocation. His name is being withheld due to pending domestic violence charges, according to the Leicester Police Department.

At around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Leicester police responded to a residence on Paxton Street for a subject who was just involved in a shooting in Worcester and fled back to his home in Leicester.

He was still armed with a gun, and police said he posted a threat to someone inside the home and to the police officers. Leicester police, along with officers from Worcester, Spencer, Charlton, and the Massachusetts State Police, set up a perimeter and arrested him.

He was arraigned in East Brookfield District Court on A&B on a Family or Household Member, Strangulation/Suffocation, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Unarmed Robbery, Witness Intimidation, Vandalism (2 Counts), Carrying a Firearm while Intoxicated, Threatening to Commit a Crime (to wit Murder), and Evidence Tampering.

He was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
