Congresswoman Tsongas Does Walking Tour of Marlborough

In recognition of small business week, Congresswoman Niki Tsongas toured several in Marlborough.

To kick off National Small Business Week, Congresswoman Niki Tsongas toured a series of small businesses in Marlborough on Monday, May 4. She was joined by local officials and members of the community.

Congresswoman Tsongas took a walking tour of local downtown businesses, starting at the Marlborough Savings Bank, with expected stops at the Main Street Café, Wellys, The Vin Bin and FISH Restaurant. Marlborough Mayor Arthur Vigeant joined the Congresswoman.

National Small Business Week, which runs from May 4 through May 8, 2015, is an opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others in the local business communities, said an announcement.

Rep. Tsongas has been a strong advocate for small businesses since taking office, frequently holding roundtable discussions, speaking engagements and events with local business leaders, said the press release. As a result of her work on behalf of Small Business, Rep. Tsongas was named a “Champion of Small Business Innovation” by the National Small Business Association, a national small business group, and the Small Business Technology Council.
