Fatal Police-Involved Shooting Under Investigation
A fatal police-involved shooting of a man with a knife on Monday night is under investigation by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office is conducting an investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding a fatal police-involved shooting that occurred Monday evening at 52 Meadow Brook Road in Marlborough.
According to a release from the office, at approximately 8 p.m. Monday Marlborough Police responded to 52 Meadowbrook Road for a domestic disturbance to assist in the removal of an unwanted person from a residence.
Upon arrival, police were confronted by a man armed with a knife, according to officials. A Marlborough police officer discharged his weapon, according to the District Attorney's Office. The man that was shot was identified as Bryce Coutinho, 22, and pronounced dead at the scene.

Coutinho was set to face an assault and battery charge from a previous incident.
The circumstances of the shooting incident remain under investigation. The justifiability of the police involved shooting will be investigated by the District Attorney’s Office. The investigation is active and ongoing, said the office.
