'Go Green' City Wide Clean Sweep 2018 Planned For Marlborough
"The more volunteers we have, the better our city will look," said the mayor.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Clean it up, Marlborough!
On Saturday, April 28, the city kicks off its annual city-wide Clean Sweep project to clear trash and debris from most of the highly visible locations throughout Marlborough. Past participants include residents, elected officials, civic groups as well as corporate and business representatives.
"Project Clean Sweep is a wonderful way to enjoy the fresh air, get some exercise, and help make our neighborhoods look their best," said Mayor Arthur Vigeant in a statement. "This is where we work, live, and play and it’s important to take pride in how our city looks."

Last year’s group of volunteers picked up just over 9,000 pounds of debris. The City is hoping
for an even greater turnout this year, said the release.
“The more volunteers we have, the better our city will look," said the mayor. "It’s a great way to give back to the community, enjoy a few hours outdoors and have some fun.”
