Hydrants Be Flushing Soon In Marlborough, So Don't Be Scared
If you see crews flushing your hydrants, wave hello. It's a plan.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Do kids still run outside and play in the street streams and puddles? If so, tell 'em they're going to want to get outside barefoot.
Marlborough starts its hydrant flushing program the week of April 2. The flushing continues through May, and possibly into June, depending on how long it takes.
Residents may notice water crews working at fire hydrants and allowing water to flow from the hydrant. Say hello and don't be scared! This process of flushing the fire hydrants is an important maintenance activity to maintain water quality for our customers and improve system efficiency, reminds the DPW.
