MARLBOROUGH, MA — Construction will resume this week on a state project overhauling the Route 85 connector between I-290 and I-495 in Marlborough and Hudson, but drivers will see new closure times compared to previous interruptions.

MassDOT will shut down the ramp from I-495 northbound to Route 85 around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The ramps should reopen each following morning by 5 a.m.

"This temporary overnight traffic impact is necessary to allow crews and contractors to conduct bridge repair operations safely and effectively. During the overnight work, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signage in place and use I-495 northbound exit 65B to I-290 westbound to access I-495 southbound (exit 32A) back to the Route 85 Connector eastbound (exit 65A)," MassDOT said in a news release.
