MARLBOROUGH, MA — This week's closure at the I-495 and I-290 intersection will be relatively light.

On Monday at 11 p.m., MassDOT will close exit 63A from Route 20 to southbound I-495 for a single night only. The ramp will reopen by about 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning, according to the agency.

"When the Route 20 eastbound (Exit 63A) on-ramp to I-495 southbound in Marlborough is closed, traffic will be directed to follow detour signage in place and utilize ramps at the I-495/ Route 20 interchange to access I-495 southbound," MassDOT advised.

The Monday night closure is part of a longer series of closures at the I-290, Route 20 and I-495 nexus while construction crews make repairs to roads and bridges in that area.

MassDOT stopped work on the I-495/I-290 connector project during the winter months. The closures started back up again for the spring construction season over the first week of April.
