Man Assaults Marlborough Hospital Staff

Police were called to the Marlborough Hospital last week after an unruly patient threatened staffers and caused damage.

“He became belligerent and verbally abusive to staff members," said Detective Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department. “He raised his fist towards a staff member and threatened to punch her in the face."

At 9:40 a.m. police arrested Shawn Patrick Higgins, 44, of 31 High Street in Hudson. In addition to threatening that staff member, he tore down a privacy curtain and threatened other staff members.

Higgins was charged with vandalizing property and two counts of assault.
