No Bail For Man Charged With Rape Of Daughter In Marlborough: Report

A man accused of raping his daughter at a Marlborough shelter will be held without bail, according to the Telegram & Gazette.

Update, Friday, Feb. 7: The migrant man, whom police accused of raping and impregnating his teenage daughter in a Marlborough shelter, will be held without bail for at least 120 days, according to the Telegram & Gazette.

The judge presiding over the case deemed the man, whose name has not been released to protect the victim, a danger to the public. His defense attorney did not contest the decision.

MARLBOROUGH, MA - A migrant father who was accused of raping his teen daughter at a Marlborough shelter is set to be arraigned, according to the Boston Globe.

The Middlesex District Attorney's office said the man was arrested over the weekend and was charged with aggravated rape of a child. The provider running the Marlborough Holiday Inn discovered the teenager was pregnant, according to an incident report. The father will not be identified because doing so could identify the victim.

The report is one allegation amidst over 1,000 serious incident reports from Massachusetts shelters that the Globe obtained in December.
