Marlborough-Based Boston Scientific To Acquire Bolt Medical, Inc.

MARLBOROUGH, MA - The Marlborough-based biotech and biomedical engineering firm announced today that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Bold Medical, Inc., a company developing coronary ad peripheral artery disease treatment devices.

"Representing one of the fastest growing medical device segments, intravascular lithotripsy therapy addresses a significant unmet need for patients with complex calcified arterial disease through a minimally invasive approach," said Lance Bates, the senior vice president at Boston Scientific.

Boston Scientific is expecting the transaction to finalize in the first half of 2025.
