Marlborough Business Gets Nearly $1M to Create Jobs

It was part of more than $17 million in tax incentive awards announced by the Healey-Driscoll Administration on Thursday.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Healey-Driscoll Administration and the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center announced more than $17 million in tax incentive awards on Thursday.

IPG Medical Corporation, a Marlborough-based company that makes fiber lasers, received $975,000 to create 50 new jobs. The company was among the 25 life science companies that received awards.

IPG Medical Corporation is a division of IPG Photonics, which specializes in the design and manufacturing of laser-based medical devices. The company is based at 377 Simarano Dr.
