Marlborough Coronavirus Test Site Reducing Hours In February
With cases on the wane, hours at the Marlborough Hospital-run site will change beginning Feb. 14.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — With local coronavirus cases trending down, the PCR testing site at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough will reduce its operating hours beginning Feb. 14.
Starting Monday, the UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital-run site will be open from 8 to 11 a.m. on weekdays. The site has been open since December between 8 a.m. and noon and weekdays. The site will also be closed on Presidents' Day.
The New England Sports Center site reopened in December as cases linked to the omicron surge began to increase. The drive-up site was saw overwhelming traffic in the weeks following Christmas when the region saw its biggest surge in cases since the pandemic began in 2020.

Marlborough was adding about 200 cases per day per 100,000 residents over the week ending Wednesday, according to city data. That's down from the 3,144 cases per day per 100,000 over the week ending Jan. 10 near the peak of the surge.
