Marlborough Folks Concerned, GOP Leader Angry With Shelters: Report

Amidst safety concerns at state emergency shelters, Marlborough residents voiced their worries to the Boston Globe.

MARLBOROUGH, MA - Amidst safety concerns from Marlborough residents over altercations in state emergency shelters, a top state House Republican slammed Gov. Maura Healey over failure to perform full criminal background checks, the Boston Globe reported.

Shelter residents in Marlborough and Peabody told Globe reporters they occasionally fear for their safety in the shelters.

"The police come a lot," one woman told the Globe.
