Marlborough Man Charged With Child Pornography Possession
A Marlborough man was charged with possession of child pornography after an investigation by local police and the attorney general's office.
MARLBOROUGH, MA - A Marlborough man was charged with possession of child pornography following an investigation from city detectives.
In January, officers from Marlborough were tipped off regarding images and video of suspected child pornography uploaded to Google through a Marlborough residence. The Massachusetts Attorney General's office filed a subpoena, and Michael Ryan, 37, was identified as the suspect.
Police encountered Ryan outside his residence and seized his phone. After obtaining a warrant to search it , they found over 500 videos and images of young children who appeared to be under the age of 18 "in a lewd state of nudity and/or sex act," according to a news release shared by the Marlborough Police Department.

Ryan was arrested on February 12 and charged with possession of child pornography.
