Marlborough MCAS Scores Drop

The district's schools maintained their ranking levels.

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released MCAS results last week, and all test score measures have dropped since last year.

The district's Composite Performance Index numbers all declined from 2012. The number for english language arts dropped from 84.3 in 2012 to 82.7 in 2013 with mathematics falling from 74.6 in 2012 to 74.3 in 2013 and science and technology dropping from 76.8 to 74.4 in 2013.

Schools are ranked from 1 (performing) to 5 (not performing). Marlborough High School continues to be at a level 3 for accountability, leading to the entire school district being at that level. All other schools in the district continue to be at a level 2.
