Why are you running for the Councilor at-large seat?
I want to make a difference by preserving my community and serving all of Marlborough's residents.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is city growth. City growth affects all aspects of life. Traffic Services, taxes, health, safety, and much more... Growth has a domino effect. Unfortunately, our current council has allowed this growth and opened this can of worms. The new City Council must contain the growth and stop the bleeding. I will stop voting in projects that will put a heavy burden on our city, but understand that some projects can help our residential taxpayers. I will say no to our State leaders who try to force policies down our throats which hurt the current residents and reputation of our city. I will encourage our State leaders to get along with our federal government to ensure programs are not cut which may hurt our community.
What sets you apart from other candidates seeking this position?
My diverse experiences as a health care worker working with seniors, being a veteran of the Army National Guard for 30 years working with veterans, being a family man with a heart of gold who is concerned about all residents no matter who they are is what sets me apart from those who have been in office for many years and multiple terms. I will have a fresh new look on all the issues. I will not have ties or alliances with other Councilors. I will be a free thinking candidate for the people of Marlborough because Marlborough Matters.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Addiction, homelessness, Education/especially special education, Veteran issues, Senior issues and anything else I need to do to help Marlborough residents
I will be engaged with all boards and commissions especially those that influence decisions that citizens consider very important like traffic, conservation, Council on Aging, Disabilities, Cultural and all others...the residents agenda is my agenda.
How does your experience prepare you for success in this position?
Dealing with the needs of others and putting their needs in the forefront is most important. I have done this my entire life. I will measure the options and make the best possible choices for the majority s benefit. I believe I care as a Father, veteran and citizen and will bring my best to the people of MARLBOROUGH because MARLBOROUGH MATTERS.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself?
I am ready to accept the role of change and preserve our city for the benefit of our residents. I will serve you and hope to receive your vote on Election Day November 4th. If you would like to host a sign call or message (978) 618 1612
