Are you originally from Marlborough?

Yes, Marlborough has always been my home. As a young kid, my family lived in an apartment on Hosmer Street before moving to our current home in the Fort Meadow neighborhood.

What is your occupation?

City councilor and freelance communications consultant

Have you previously or currently been elected to an office?

I was first elected to the Marlborough City Council in 2023. In 2024, I was elected as a member of the Democratic Ward Committee for Ward 6 and now serve as a Vice-Chair for the Marlborough Democratic City Committee (MDCC).

Why are you running for the Ward 6 City Councilor position?

I’m running for re-election to continue fighting for the residents of Ward 6. Since joining the City Council, we have been hard at work bringing jobs to Marlborough, expanding economic opportunity, supporting small businesses, balancing development, and protecting our treasured outdoor spaces. I’m excited for the opportunity to continue delivering for our residents.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The single most pressing issue facing Ward 6 is affordability, and I will continue to be a fiscally responsible member of the City Council to ensure that our residents can afford to stay here.

Achieving this starts each fiscal year when the City Council approves the city budget. Between the last two years, I have personally supported over $2 million worth of responsible budget adjustments with the goal of ensuring steady and predictable taxes for our residents.

Balancing development is critical to a strong economy and adding to our tax base. As a member of the Urban Affairs Committee, I provide fair and impartial assessment to all special permit applications and zoning changes. I work hard to support projects that fit our small city and I’m not afraid to stand up to developers who are looking to profit at our city’s expense.

What sets you apart from other candidates seeking this position?

Since being elected, I have held office hours in all corners of our city. Through proactive constituent outreach, we have fielded nearly 200 constituent inquiries. During our first campaign, I promised to find solutions to some of our neighbor’s toughest problems, since then we’ve assisted residents on issues ranging from potholes and road resurfacing, to tax abatements and employment opportunities.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Infrastructure improvements, making progress on the West Side Fire Station & Richer School building projects, and preserving conservation space.

As a frequent driver, cyclist, and walker in Marlborough, I know how important it is to have reliable infrastructure. To achieve this, I have partnered with our dedicated Public Works crews to fill potholes, replace old infrastructure, and fund our capital projects. I am proud to have voted to fund the Chandler Street reconstruction project, major upgrades to the Lakeshore Drive and Birch Road pump stations, and various water main replacements across our city.

I recently voted in favor of endorsing plan NC-2A to build a preferred Richer Elementary School Replacement Option. I look forward to supporting this investment in our students, teachers, and families. In a second term, it is paramount that we get the West Side Fire Station under construction.

I am a proud environmentalist. When some councilors advocated for cuts to the Fort Meadow Commission’s budget, I fought back and ensured the group was fully funded to preserve the quality of the Fort Meadow Reservoir. I also approved funding for the final stages of the Hudson Street Landfill waste relocation–helping turn the former landfill into a public park.

How does your experience prepare you for success in this position?

I currently serve as the Chair of the Public Services Committee and Vice-Chair of the Climate Resiliency Committee. I am also a voting member of the Finance Committee, Urban Affairs Committee, and Legislative & Legal Affairs Committee. These committee assignments have provided me with a wide-array of experience on the City Council. I will continue to step up and take on these leadership roles in a second term.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself?

I am always available to answer questions or concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly on my cell: 774-249-6640. If you share our vision, I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 4th.
