Marlborough Resident Dies In Southborough Crash: Police
The 23-year-old was involved in a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Marlborough resident died Sunday evening in a crash along Route 30 in Southborough, according to police and fire officials.
The crash happened near 5 p.m. Sunday in an area west of Route 85 between Chestnut Hill and Sears roads, according to Southborough police. The vehicle caught fire after crashing into a utility pole, and the victim died at the scene, police said.
Southborough police did not immediately identify the driver.

The state police crash reconstruction team responded to the scene to piece together what happened. The cause of the crash was not available as of Monday. The crash and cleanup closed Route 30 for most of Sunday night and into the early morning hours.
