Marlborough Savings Awards Grant to Immaculate Conception St. Vincent de Paul
The $2,500 grant supports and expands efforts to provide aid for those in need within Marlborough.

From Marlborough Savings Bank: The Marlborough Savings Charitable Foundation awarded the Immaculate Conception St. Vincent de Paul Society Conference a $2,500 grant to support and expand their efforts to provide aid for those in need in the City of Marlborough. Those in need are assisted on a person-to-person basis, and it is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique. In the first 10 weeks of activity (June 1, 2016 through August 15, 2016), the Immaculate Conception St. Vincent de Paul Conference has provided aid to 31 families in Marlborough with services ranging from emergency housing and food assistance, emergency help with utility payments, referrals to existing social and charitable services, and person-to person sharing of expertise in such areas as personal finance, home maintenance and employment.
