Marlborough School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Marlborough is August 30th for grades 1-12 and September 5 for PreK and Kindergarten. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Marlborough School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/30: First Day of School for grades 1-12
• 8/30: Early Childhood Center Orientation
• 8/31: Kindergarten Orientation

September

• 9/1: No School - Offices Open
• 9/4: Labor Day - No School
• 9/5: First Day for PreK & K

October

• 10/9: Columbus Day – No School
• 10/19: Early Release Day PreK-12

November

• 11/6: ECC Parent/Teacher Conferences
• 11/7: Jaworek P/T Conferences
• 11/7: Professional Development - Staff only
• 11/8: Richer P/T Conferences
• 11/9: Kane P/T Conferences
• 11/16: MHS Parent/Teacher Conferences
• 11/22-24: Thanksgiving Recess - No school

December

• 12/13: Whitcomb Parent/Teacher Conferences
• 12/25-29: Holiday Recess - No school

January

• 1/2: School Resumes
• 1/15: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - No School
• 1/16: Professional Development - Staff only
• 1/25: Early Childhood Screening Day - No Preschool
