MARLBOROUGH, MA — If you are interested in serving on the Marlborough School Committee, now's your chance.
The Marlborough School Committee is calling for candidates to fill the vacant seat left by Heidi Matthews, who died in June after a three-year battle with cancer. The Committee is inviting interested people to submit a letter of interest to the mayor's office by Sept. 26.
The interest letter can sent by email to mayor@marlborough-ma.gov or by mail to 140 Main St. Candidates must be residents and cannot be currently employed by the city.

The committee will appoint its chosen candidate at the Joint Convention Meeting of the Marlborough City Council and School Committee on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m., which will be in the City Council Chambers.
"We look forward to meeting the individuals who are ready to contribute to our schools and community," Marlborough Public Schools stated.
