MARLBOROUGH, MA - Mary Murphy, superintendent of Marlborough Public Schools, announced her plan to retire at the end of the 2024-25 school year, the Community Advocate reported.

It was during the school committee meeting Tuesday, Jan. 14, when Murphy made the announcement. An employee of Marlborough Public Schools for over 20 years, she succeeded Michael Bergeron as superintendent in 2022.

The committee will meet next Tuesday, Jan. 21, to plan out the search process.
