MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Marlborough Board of Health will hold four COVID-19 booster shot clinics in February as cases of the virus continue to be at elevated levels due to the omicron variant.

The clinics will take place every Wednesday starting Feb. 2 at City Hall at 12:30 p.m. The clinics are appointment-only, and will provide the Moderna version of the booster. To be eligible for a booster, you must have received two shots of either the Moderna or Pfizer version more than five months ago, or the single-shot Johnson & Johnson version more than two months ago.

The vaccine is the best way to guard against severe disease and death due to COVID-19, according to health experts.
