MetroWest Free Medical Program Moves To Marlborough
The local nonprofit that delivers medical care to thousands has a new permanent home following uncertainty during the pandemic.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A local free medical program that has faced some obstacles due to the pandemic has returned with a new clinic in Marlborough.
The MetroWest Free Medical Program's new 2,000 square-foot facility is now located at 246 Maple St. in Marlborough, offering free evening adult medicine and women’s health clinics.
The program had previously operated clinics at Congregation Beth El in Sudbury and at a building in Framingham owned by the First Parish in Framingham Unitarian Universalist. The Beth El clinic was suspended after the pandemic began, and First Parish sold its Edgell Road building this year. The free medical program has been operating temporarily at the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in Framingham since March.

"When we had trouble finding a partner that could accommodate our evening hours and our clinical requirements, the community rallied together to raise funds toward a lease," Executive Director Danielle Kehoe said. "Then, Josh Seadia, principal of JMJ Commercial Realty, worked with Dr. Vinay Kumar and Dr. Jose Flores-Cardillo of Charles River Medical Associates, who have provided us flexibility in our agreement to support subleasing to specialists. This will afford the opportunity to generate revenue to offset rent and, ultimately, fulfill our commitment to our patients."
The Marlborough property management company Modular Concepts — whose owner, Luiz Thomas, is a MetroWest Free Medical Program board member — is donating cleaning services for the new office.
