Video: Fire Hits Marlborough Home

A fire hit an unoccupied Marlborough home at 15 Girard St. early Wednesday morning causing exterior and smoke damage, as captured by video shot by WMCT TV in Marlborough.

"I saw fire on the outside of the building that extended from the first floor to the second floor and into the attic," said Marlborough Fire Chief James Fortin who was the first at the scene of the fire that was called in shortly after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

The fire was contained to the exterior wall and the attic. The cause is under investigation by the Fire Department's investigators, said Fortin.
