Westborough Man Stabbed Mother Before Hitting Her With Truck: DA

Daniel Uhlman, 53, of Westborough, was ordered held without bail. Prosecutors say he killed his mother at a Marlborough Holiday Inn.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Westborough man stabbed and beat his 82-year-old mother on Thursday in Marlborough before hitting her with a truck, prosecutors said during a court hearing Friday.

Daniel Uhlman, 53, of Westborough, was arraigned Friday on charges of armed assault to murder a person over 60, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60.

Nancy Uhlman, also a Westborough resident, was found dead in the parking of the Lakeside Avenue Holiday Inn around 12:30 p.m., according to Marlborough police. Prosecutors said Uhlman stabbed her 10 times with a butter knife and smashed her head on the pavement before ramming her with a truck, Boston25 reported.

Uhlman told an officer who arrived at the scene that he "just felt like killing her," but had planned the attack for about a week, the station reported.

Uhlman was ordered held without bail after his arraignment in Marlborough on Friday.
