Coast Guard Medevacs Cruise Ship Passenger Off Nantucket
The Coast Guard rescued a "critically ill" cruise ship passenger aboard the Silver Muse off Nantucket.

NANTUCKET, MA — A "critically ill" man aboard a cruise ship off Nantucket was medevaced Thursday, according to the Coast Guard. The man was aboard the cruise ship Silver Muse and the rescue happened about 80 miles off Nantucket. The man was transported to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. A crew from Air Station Cape Cod conducted the rescue.
The Silver Muse is about 700 feet long and holds about 1,000 vacationers and crew members. It is operated by Monaco-based Silversea.
The Coast Guard provided video of the crew hoisting the man aboard a helicopter:
