Five Things You Need to Know Today: November 5
Today Alex's sYsters meet at Alex's Place, Chris Fischer cooks a benefit for the high school garden at MVRHS and the WT Library screens movies at the Chilmark Library

1. Alex's sYsters meet this evening at Alex’s Place at the YMCA. Young women ages 13 – 18 can find support and learn new skills from professional women from our community. This project is free of charge. Visiting teens also happily welcomed. 5 pm.
2. There is a benefit dinner tonight with Chef Chris Fischer and the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School students to support the high school's new garden. $30/adult $15 children under twelve, limited seating. 5:30 pm garden tour with snacks and music by the MVRHS string quartet, 6pm dinner. Tickets available at MVRHS, Cronig's Market, The Allen Farm and Beetlebung Farm. For more info: kaila@islandgrown.org
3. The West Tisbury Library November Film Series at the Chilmark Library starts tonight with “Movies in Another Realm” every Monday evening. The series is free and open to the public. Popcorn included. 7 pm. For more information, call (508) 693-3366

4. There is Open Darkroom with David Welch at Featherstone tonight. $10 per hour without assistance/$25 per hour with instruction. 7 pm - 9 pm. For more information, call 508-693-1850 or visit featherstoneart.org.
5. Tonight is Open Mic night at The Pit Stop Workshop, hosted by Anthony Esposito. $5. 8 pm.
