Slowfood Summer Solstice at Allen Farm

A picnic celebrating local food and the coming of the season will take place on Thursday in one of the most beautiful spots on Martha’s Vineyard.in Chilmark is known for its amazing vistas of the Atlantic Ocean across the rolling fields and the salt-water pond.

In honor of the summer solstice, Slowfood MV is inviting the community to enjoy those views along with fresh vibrant food harvested and raised by local farmers.

There will be tours of the farm and windmill and field games for children. Live music will begin at 6 pm with Good Night Louise and Barbara Hoy and Don Groover.
Tickets are $10/ person or $25 for a family and includes Grey Barn pork, Allen Farm chicken and North Tabor Farm greens. Bring a side dish or dessert, picnic supplies and BYOB. This is a zero waste event.
