This is What Democracy Looks Like On Martha's Vineyard

Three separate Occupy Wall Street Rallies took place on the Island Sunday.

Occupy Wall Street Martha’s Vineyard rallied at Owen Park in Vineyard Haven Sunday. About 35 people braved the hurricane force winds and cold to show their support of a movement that is sweeping the country and the Island.

Also yesterday, there were two other Occupy Wall Street rallies, one in  Menemsha and the other at Five Corners.

Two weeks ago, there was an OWS meet-up for Oak Bluffs. Protests are scheduled for each town, including Edgartown, West Tisbury and Aquinnah. Visit OWS Martha’s Vineyard’s Facebook page for more information.
