Discover Medfield Day will be Sept. 21

This year's "Discover Medfield Day" will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Now in its 34th year, this MEMO event is again shaping up to be a great day for the community. Drawing on the excitement and enthusiasm of the start of a new school year and the coming of fall, it's the time for some to discover and others to re-discover what it is that's Medfield.
With about 170 exhibitor booths, only 25 are still available as of this posting. Registration and information is online at MEMO's website, www.medfieldmemo.org. So, if you're interested in being an exhibitor, you'd best hurry.
With thousands attending throughout the day, this is the opportunity for Medfield's businesses, organizations and individuals to let everyone know who they are and what they do. For some organizations, it's their largest fundraising opportunity of the year. For some artisans and crafts persons, it's their most successful sales opportunity in their annual trade show circuit.
Appearing this year on the entertainment stage are: Paulette's Dance Studio, Woodland Theatre Company, Little Jed and the Phat Daddies, Montrose School's a cappella group Treblemakers, and Pi Alley.
Inflatable rides in the Kids Area (set up in Montrose School's parking lot) will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Special thanks go out to our Major Corporate Sponsors: Clay Family Dealerships, Starr & Glick Orthodontics, West Mill Smiles, Dover Trucking, Rockland Trust, Middlesex Savings Bank and Postal Center.
There are still sponsorship opportunities for getting your name in front of the crowd, particularly at the entertainment stage. Again, information can be found on MEMO's website.
MEMO will be doing its annual raffle and silent auction at the MEMO booth, all proceeds of which fund MEMO's high school scholarships program. Items are donated by local businesses and families. A team autographed Celtics basketball is one of the items expected to bring a lot of interest to the bidding table. Donations are still being welcomed.
With 13 food exhibitors this year, you will find a variety of menus sure to please. So definitely plan on a lunch or two and snacks.
