Gas Drops Below $3 in Parts of Massachusetts--But Not Medfield

Gas prices hit a low of $3.16 in town this week.

Gas prices this week plummeted to their lowest levels of the year—dropping below $3 a gallon in some parts of Massachusetts. But Medfield’s prices have remained well above $3 per gallon.

In Medfield, prices reached a low of $3.16 per gallon. Here’s a look at the lowest prices in town as of Wednesday, according to GasBuddy:

  • Medfield Auto Center (212 Main St near Pederzini Dr): $3.16
  • Irving (26 Spring St. near Main St.): $3.19
  • Gulf (270 Main St. near Hatters Hill Rd.): $3.29

The average price of gas statewide was $3.26. Prices have been driven down by low demand and abundant supplies, according to the Associated Press.
