Medfield Day: Homemade baked goods at HAWC booth
Stop by the Hannah Adams Woman's Club booth for one of our tasty treats. Proceeds benefit the Hannah Adams Scholarship Fund
When you’re at Discover Medfield Day this year, be sure to stop by the Hannah Adams Woman’s Club booth on Frairy Street to purchase some of our delicious homemade baked goods, buy a chance to win one of our raffle prizes, or to learn more about our namesake, “Hannah Adams: Medfield’s Most Famous Female.”
The Hannah Adams Woman's Club is the namesake of Hannah Adams (1755-1831) who was born and raised in Medfield, and ran a similar women’s group during her lifetime (circa 1775). The club is purportedly the longest continuously running women’s group in America, was officially incorporated in 1894, and is committed to supporting women and the community, including the annual Hannah Adams Scholarship (est. 1905).
