The Medfield Foundation (MFi) Youth Leadership Program has announced that applications are now being accepted for its grant. Up to $1000 in grants will be awarded which may be divided among one to four recipients. Applicants are welcome to learn more about the grant process and to submit a grant request at https://forms.gle/5rBp35eH9adKvDRT7 By April 30th.

Just as the Medfield Foundation has it’s Legacy Fund endowment and it’s Pitch
It! Grant Program,, the youth leadership team created the Youth Leadership GrantProgram and
raised $1000 in the fall of 2023. The Youth Leadership Grant Program is our call for ideas that will enrich the lives of those who call Medfield home. The youth leaders will review the application, ask questions, interview, site visit and make final presentations to their youth leader teammates before they all vote and select the winner(s). They will make their final
selections by May 24th.

MFi Youth Leadership is a program created in 2014 by the Medfield Foundation, Inc. (MFi). Medfield is known as a community with a strong sense of philanthropy and volunteerism. From an early age, the town’s youngest residents have opportunities to make a difference in their community. Those opportunities continue to grow as children come of age in our town. It was a natural progression that the Medfield Foundation, the umbrella organization for many local volunteer fundraising initiatives, would establish a program where high school students could take that philanthropic spirit, run with it and gain leadership experience in the process. Our youth leaders support one of theMedfield Foundation’s biggest signature events, The MFi Angel Run, in the fall. It provides a perfect opportunity to get involved and gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to plan and manage a fundraising event. Then the winter/spring focuses on the grant program. How to solicit for proposals and how to review and award grants. The youth leaders are also involved in other MFi initiatives and events such as the Medfield Day, the MFi volunteer awards, Medfield Cares about Prevention (MCAP), Sustainable Medfield, the Cultural Alliance of Medfield, the Medfield Food Cupboard and other philanthropic organizations in town.
