Police Log: Man Injured in Fall from Bike, Bat in the House

The following information was provided by the Medfield Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Oct. 4

11:15 a.m.: A private investigator informed Medfield Police she would be working in the Pine Street area between 2 and 10 p.m. and might be walking the area with a flashlight.

12:25 p.m.: A man requested an animal control officer from a Pound Street address. The reason was not explained.

2:27 p.m.: An officer working on a private detail on Main Street reported a motor vehicle crash, with no injury involved. 

3:02 p.m.: Police received a call of a man injured in a fall from a bicycle at the railroad crossing on West Mill. The man was taken to the hospital.

6:15 p.m.: State Police transferred a call reporting a motor vehicle crash on Spring Street, in the area of South Street.

6:37 p.m.: Police received a 911 call, which then disconnected. On call back, a woman said she wanted the father of her child removed from the home. The caller hung up when the dispatch asked for the address. Call backs went to voice mail on the cell phone. Two police officer located the caller. She told them there was no issue, she just wanted the man removed.

9:06 p.m.: A resident of Main Street walked in to police headquarters and reported she had found the door to her home ajar after returning home. Police checked and everything was fine.

11:58 p.m.: Police checked Medfield High School after finding a Cadillac Escalade parked outside.

Saturday, Oct. 5

12:04 a.m.: An officer checked Blake Middle School after finding a Honda Accord parked outside.

3:38 p.m.: State Police reported a woman had called on a cell phone to report a crash on Vine Brook Road. A woman involved in the crash had a bloodied nose. Police responded. The woman was taken to a hospital.

10:52 p.m.: A woman on North Street told police she was home with her kids and someone keeps ringing the door bell. An officer checked and everything was clear.

Sunday, Oct. 6

12:13 a.m.: An officer checked the Medfield Sportsman's Club on Noon Hill Road, where a Toyota Tundra pickup was parked.

10:22 a.m.: A caller on North Street reported a possible motor vehicle crash in front of his house. An officer found the driver had left the scene. The vehicle would have heavy front-end damage. Dover Police were contacted. An officer in that town pulled over the driver. The operator had a cut to his head and the EMTs were en route.

5:15 p.m.: A caller on Green Street said she could hear gun shots. Police responded and determined the shots sounded like they were coming from the Westwood Gun Club.

5:21 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and reported his two husky dogs were missing.

8:40 p.m.: A caller on Hearthstone Drive said she had a bat in her bedroom. An animal control officer responded and removed the bat.
