Police Log: Woman Mistakes Husband for Intruder, Woman Locks Baby in Car
The following information was provided by the Medfield Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 10
7:10 a.m.: A caller on Ledgetree Road reported suspicious activity. She said she thought someone was walking around in her house. The woman called back to say she checked and everything seemed in order. It may have been her husband coming back to pick something up. A police sergeant checked the house again. Everything was fine.
9:40 a.m.: A woman called from North Street and said a woman was locked out of her vehicle with her baby inside. An officer responded and helped her out.
4:04 p.m.: A motorist on North Street reported two young kids were riding motorized bikes in and out of the road. An officer checked the area but could not find the children.
4:30 p.m.: Firefighters responded to South Street, for a report of an oven that was sparking inside while a woman tried to bake something.
8:25 p.m.: A caller asked police to check on the well-being of a man sitting on the Charles River Bridge on West Street. An officer checked the bridge and surrounding area and found nothing.
Friday, Oct. 11
7:19 a.m.: A caller on South Street said kids were walking up and down the sidewalk with signs inviting motorists to "toot your horn" for Medfield sports, which was creating a noise problem for her and her baby. The woman said she would call the school.
12:26 p.m.: A caller on Causeway Street asked firefighters to check on a spill of charcoal lighter fluid which had happened in her garage.
12:31 p.m.: A woman reported that at Hinkley Swim Pond, a man was trying to get into a vehicle. Police responded and were seeking a summons to charge him with operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
9:46 p.m.: A caller said some youths were possibly drinking alcoholic beverages in the basement of a home on High Street. Police spoke to the woman homeowner, who said some of the youths may have been drinking, but that she would take them all home herself.
Saturday, Oct. 12
7:13 a.m.: A caller on West Street said some people might be living in a vacant house. Police responded and spoke with a man, who was one of the contractors rebuilding the house.
8:51 a.m.: A caller said a dead raccoon and a live raccoon were on Main Street next to his mailbox and he would like it removed. Police were contacting the animal control officer.
2:36 p.m.: A caller on Martingale Lane said two men were suspicious, walking around the area of his house. When they saw him, they got into a black pickup and drove away. Police found the pickup truck in front of the Middlesex Bank on Main Street. They said they were looking at a house that was for sale.
9:11 p.m.: A caller reported mischief on Copperwood Road. Four youths in the neighborhood were ringing doorbells. An officer found them and spoke to them.
Sunday, Oct. 13
3:40 p.m.: A woman called from a cemetery on Main Street to report she had a raccoon with a broken leg. The animal control officer was called. At 9 p.m. a caller reported the same raccoon was on North Meadows Road, holding up traffic. The animal control officer was contacted and responded, and the animal was gone.
7:27 p.m.: A caller reported someone had knocked on her door on Walden Court, and left a paper bag. A few minutes later, the bag was gone.
10:14 p.m.: A man reported a large group of people were on the corner of Hearthstone Drive and Ledgetree. An officer responded, and reported it was a group of kids listening to the Red Sox game. They were going to go inside.
Monday, Oct. 14
12:11 p.m.: A caller at Shaw's supermarket reported an elderly woman had fallen and needed an ambulance.
3:04 p.m.: Police received two 911 calls reporting a hit and run on Route 109. A black SUV hit two cars and kept going, near the Dover line. Westwood and Dover police were notified. Dover police would be investigating.
3:21 p.m.: Police received several calls that the traffic lights at Main and South Street were not changing. They were stuck on red. Police were going to go check them.
10:54 p.m.: A woman was reported to be walking up Cross Street, toward Philip Street, screaming. Police responded. She was brought to an address nearby.
