Suspicious Man Leads to Arrest, Hit Cat, Unsafe Ice, and More

Here's a closer look at the Medfield safety log.

The following information was provided by the Medfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Dec. 26

10:03 a.m., Main Street. E911 caller reported difficulty controlling her son. Medfield Ambulance took him to Norwood Hospital.

3:56 p.m., South Street. Several E911 callers reported a car off the road.  The 2002 Ford Explorer was towed and NSTAR was notified and responded.

3:47 p.m., Pine Street. E911 caller reported a car accident with no personal injury near Shining Valley Road involving a 2007 Chrysler and a 1994 Toyota Camry.

5:40 p.m., Harding Street. E911 caller reported a car accident with personal injury involving a 2011 BMW and a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. Norfolk Ambulance responded but transport was refused.  

5:57 p.m., Nebo Street. E911 caller reported a car accident with personal injury on Nebo at Foundry Street. There were young children in the car.  Walpole Ambulance responded. A second ambulance was needed for a six-year-old child who Millis Ambulance then transported to the hospital. The car (2013 Volkswagen) was towed.

6:18 p.m., South Street. E911 caller reported a three-car accident on South Street near Loeffler Lane with personal injury. One car was rolled over. Cars were a 2011 GMC Sierra, 2003 Acura MDX, and a 2005 Toyota RAV4.

7:58 p.m., Homestead Drive. Caller said he has no power after an accident earlier in the day.

8:55 p.m., Wilkens Glen. Caller reported a suspicious person in the foyer of one of the buildings. Julien King, 20, of 27 Winthrop Street in Framingham, was charged with “delay service of warrant.”

Friday, Dec. 27

1:34 a.m., Granite Street. Wellesley Police asked for a well-being check on a Granite Street address after a woman said a man from that address left upset. Police said there was a car in the driveway and everything looked okay. At 6 a.m., the house still looked quiet.

7:34 a.m., Wilkens Glen. Received a letter of disinvite.

10:37 a.m., South Street. Walk-in report of mailbox vandalism that happened overnight.

10:53 a.m., South Street. Caller reported damage to her lawn, mailbox and shrubs after someone drove over her lawn last night.

1:37 p.m., station. Dedham District Court faxed over an extension for a harassment order.

4:49 p.m., station. Walk-in report from a Newton father who was supposed to pick up his children in the police station parking lot (court ordered arrangement) at 4 p.m., but the Medfield mom has not arrived yet. The children were delivered at 6 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 28

12:12 a.m., Granite Street. E911 caller reported suspicious activity, there is someone in his back yard. Nothing found.

12:31 a.m., Indian Hill Road. E911 caller reported three suspicious vehicles parked in front of her house. Police did not see any vehicles in front of that house.

1:28 p.m., Haven Road. Caller said his home had been broken into.

4:06 p.m., Green Street. Caller reported two boys and a girl with a bike on the Hinkley swim pond and she wasn’t sure the ice was safe. Police spoke with the kids.

4:48 p.m., North Meadows Road. Police stopped a vehicle on Route 27 near Dale Street. The driver’s license was suspended. A 32-year-old woman of Washington Street in Foxborough was charged with driving with a suspended license. Police gave the woman and her child a ride. 

6:37 p.m., Main Street. Walk-in report from a woman who said she just hit a cat near 428 Main Street. They moved the dead cat next to a fence. Animal Control was notified.

Sunday, Dec. 29

10:11 a.m., Lee Road. Report of a leaking fire hydrant. Ed Hinkley was notified.

1:16 p.m., North Meadows Road. Caller said a 9-year-old child fainted at a business. No transport needed.

1:21 p.m., Main Street. Caller said an 82-year-old woman tripped and fell in the parking lot. Millis Ambulance took her to Beth Israel Needham.
