Children of all ages can enjoy a series of fun activities in August at the Medfield Public Library

The Medfield Public Library has come out with a list of activities children of all ages will be able to enjoy in August. They will be able to read stories, play fun games, watch movis, and learn about new technology.

Summer Storytimes
Summer Storytimes will continue through Thursday, August 20. Storytimes are on a drop-in basis.

Pattycake Place for ages 0 - 3 on Wednesdays & Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Babies, toddlers, and caregivers can enjoy songs, stories, and rhymes during this interactive storytime.
Preschool Pageturners for ages 3 - 5 on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00p.m.
This participatory program for preschoolers combines stories, music, rhymes, and a variety of activities that help develop important early literacy skills.
Lunch Bunch for all ages on Thursdays from 11:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
Bring a blanket and join everyone behind the gazebo with your snack or picnic lunch. Enjoy picture stories and interactive activities. In the event of rain, the program will be held in the Children’s Program Room.
Super Creations for ages 3 and up from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Stop by the Activity Room. for something new every week. Get creative with art, science, and technology!
Yoga for Kids for ages 3 - 5, Tuesday, August 18, 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Yoga instructor Kristen Mulligan will show kids different yoga poses to improve flexibility and coordination.
Outdoor Movie Night for Teens, Tuesday, August 18, 8:00 pm
The library has a brand new giant itnflatable movie screen! Join everyone in Gazebo Park for some snacks and superhero movies under the stars. There is FREE popcorn!! Can you guess the movie?: A group of intergalactic criminals are forced to work together to stop a fanatical warrior from taking control of the universe. Rated PG-13, 121 minutes.
Tech Club - Programming & Electronics for ages 9 - 15, Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Come to the Meeting Room and explore the basics of electronics and programming! You will also get to play with MaKey-MaKey: designed by 2 MIT graduate students. MaKey-MaKey is an invention kit that takes over the functionality of a certain key on your keyboard or mouse. You can make a game controller out of play-doh or make music out of bananas! End of Summer Party
Tuesday, August 25, 3:00 - 5:00 for Kids and Families
6:00 - 8:00 for Teens ONLY
Outdoors by the Gazebo
From 3 - 5 p.m., kids and families are invited to come celebrate another summer of fun. We will have ice cream, an obstacle course, and more!
Then from 6 - 8 p.m., it’s the End-of-Summer party for teens!! Celebrate by destroying your friends at our outdoor game of laser tag! There will also be snacks and the drawing for the Grand Prize Raffle!
Lego Club for ages 5 - 10, Friday, August 28, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Challenge yourself to create different structures using the library’s collection of Legos.
