Water Main Break on Pleasant Street, and More

Here are a few interesting things to start your day.  

  • Did you know that Medfield High School sophomore Andrea Nevins is the Director of the Massachusetts Miss Amazing pageant? According to the Hometown Weekly, this event gives girls and women with disabilities the opportunity to have the pageant experience? 
  • The Montrose School will hold an open house on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Did you have trouble with your water on Pleasant Street yesterday, Nov. 5? The Water and Sewer department report that, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a broken water main was discovered on Pleasant Street and the water was shut off on Pleasant Street from Main Street to Oak Street for approximately two hours. 
  • The town has accepted letters of resignation from board members Ron Griffin (Committee to Study Memorials) and Rachel Brown (Personnel Board, Selectmen's Insurance Advisory Committee, and Collective Bargaining Committee)
  • Government meetings today, Nov. 6, include Council on Aging, Insurance Advisory Committee, Parks and Recreation Commission, Permanent Building Committee, and Personnel Board.
