ZBA Meeting Includes Starbucks Public Hearing

The Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing tonight at 8:15 p.m. at Town Hall in the Chenery Room.

On the agenda is an 8:15 p.m. hearing regarding Starbucks.

Developer Salvatore Capital Partners (which also purchased the Lord's building) plans to renovate the former Mobil station, at the corner of Main and North Streets, into a Starbucks coffee shop by September.

The applicant is seeking three special permits for Zoning Bylaws:

  1. Section 5.4.4.2 (for establishment to sell food and drink)
  2. Section 8.5 (Downtown Parking District)
  3. Section 16.8 (Secondary Aquifer Overlay District)

 

The full posted agenda includes:

8 p.m., Public Hearing -- Salvatore Montillo (applicant) and Gregory Pickard (owner), 5 Country Way, seeking finding/variance for a proposed residential addition

8:15 p.m., Public Hearing -- Medfield 467 Main, LLC, 467 Main Street, seeking Special Permits under Zoning Bylaw Section 5.4.4.2 (for establishment to sell food and drink); Section 8.5 (Downtown Parking District), and under Section 16.8 (Secondary Aquifer Overlay District). The proposal is to renovate an existing structure and change its use from Mobil gas station to Starbucks coffee shop.

8:30 p.m., Public Hearing -- Montrose School, 29 North Street, seeking Special Permits under Zoning Bylaw Section 19 (Flood Plain District), Section 11 (Watershed Protection District), and Section 16 (Aquifer Protection District); and a Variance under Section 6.3 for a proposed 37.3 average maximum height of building where maximum allowed as of right is 30 feet for the redevelopment of an existing building into an Arts & Athletic Building.
