: The former state rep. and state senator was sentenced to three months in jail Tuesday, stemming from harassing several women on the streets of Lowell in 2008.

Sun is Shining: The National Weather Service predicts a sunny day today, with a high around 35 degrees. There's a 40 percent chance of snow tomorrow night.

: The underground railroad makes a stop at Medford Public Library this morning with a one-person reenactment of Harriet Tubman's life, presented by Historical Perspectives for Children. It starts at 10 a.m.

: Cultural Resources of the Middlesex Fells at 6:30 p.m. at 4 Woodland Road in Stoneham. Speakers include Mike Ryan, director of Friends of the Fells, Ellen Berkland, Archaeologist for DCR, and Jeffrey Harris Preservation Planner for DCR.

With their loss to Stoneham on Monday night, the Medford High School boys varsity basketball team lost out on their chance at the playoffs.
