Updates from Senior Football Associates of Medford, Inc., (aka, The Booster Club)

The Senior Football Associates is made up of parents, alumni and friends supporting the Medford High School Football Team in enhancing the efforts of the student/athlete. The Senior Football Associates is now seeking new members interested in being part of the Board for this season and beyond. If interested please contact John Costello Jr. at 781-608-8563 or at GoMedford@aol.com The parents and friends of the Medford Mustangs' Booster Club have been hard at work on the sidelines supporting the players and coaches of the MHS Football program. Upcoming fund raisers that will be conducted throughout the season include: the Third Annual Multi-Item Raffle, Cash Calendar, Dining for Dollars, sponsored by Dockside Restaurants, Drive One 4 UR School sponsored by Sentry Ford, and Not Your Average Causes sponsored by Not Your Average Joe's. The Boosters run a 50/50 raffle, a concession stand and sell merchandise at all Varsity Home games. The remaining home games are September 23 vs. Haverhill, October 7 vs. North Andover, October 14, vs. Somerville and the Thanksgiving Day game on November 24th. 

The Multi-Item Raffle has become a very popular fundraiser. Thanks to the continued support of local establishments the football players are selling these multi-item raffles that include 75 prizes from 65 donors totaling $5,477. The cost is $10.00 each. To obtain one you can contact your favorite football player, purchase one at any Varsity Home game or e-mail the Booster Club at GoMedford@aol.com

This season the Boosters have created a Cash Calendar that is for sale at all home games for $10.00 each - In January 2012 the Boosters will give away $2,012. There will be a cash prize winner every day for 31 days in January. The New Year's Day prize will be $212.00. Prize amounts vary from $25 - $200 on other days. A special bonus on January 15th, if you are in attendance at the end of the year banquet, the prize will be doubled to $300. You can buy a Cash Calendar at all Varsity Home games or e-mail the Booster Club at GoMedford@aol.com and we will deliver to you for $10 each. This is a great holiday gift idea for stocking stuffers, hostess gifts or gifts to teachers. Winners names will be posted on the Boosters web site www.MedfordFootball.net

Dockside Restaurant Dining for Dollars is an excellent opportunity to support the MHS Football program. On Thursday September 29 all you need to do is go to the Dockside Restaurant at Riverview located at 270 Medford Street, Malden between 7:00-10:00 pm, bring your Dine for Dollars ticket and MHS Football will receive 25% of the sale. This is valid for both dine-in and take-out. You do not get a discount, but while you enjoy a night out or take a break from the kitchen you can help the football program through this generous offering from the Dockside. The Dine for Dollars ticket is available at the concession stand at all home games or you can obtain a copy by e-mailing GoMedford@aol.com or call Mike at 781.799.9527. This is good for one day only - September 29, if dining in you may want to call ahead for a reservation.

Ford Motor Company's Drive One 4 UR School Program conducted locally with the assistance of Sentry Motor Group will occur at Hormel Stadium on Friday October 14th prior to and during the varsity home game vs. Somerville. Not Your Average Cause is offered by Not Your Average Joe's, this will benefit the entire MHS Athletic Department. Every Tuesday in October if you dine in or takeout lunch or dinner from Not Your Average Joe's, and present the certificate that identifies you as a supporter of Medford High School Athletics, 15% of your food purchase will be donated to MHS Athletics. To obtain a copy of the form please e-mail GoMedford@aol.com or call Mike at 781.799.9527. These certificates are available at all Varsity home games. Remember the eligible dates are October 4, 11, 18, 25, if dining in you may want to call ahead for a reservation.
