The National Weather Service predicts rain or snow Thursday night, and a likely chance of snowfall throughout the day Friday. Accumulation in Medford is predicted to be about a quarter inch.

: Grab the kids and head to Medford Public Library after school today for "Ballet and Gwendolyn the Graceful Pig" at 3:45 p.m. Children’s book author David Ira Rottenberg will read from his new book while dancers from the Ballet Arts Centre of Winchester interpret the story.

: Aspiring writers should swing over to the library at 7 p.m. tonight for a monthly writers workshop led by Lisa Nadile.

Middle East Talk at Tufts: Martin Indyk, Vice President and Director of Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution will hold a lecture titled "President Obama's Efforts at Peace in the Middle East: Is This Time Different?" at 12:30 p.m. at the Chase Center on the campus.
